Andre George BSP Brand Ambassador

Andre is currently employed at BSP as an Operations Officer. He is an elite level paddler and has represented the Cook Islands for many years. His next international regatta is the Ultimate Te Aito in Tahiti, which he leaves for on Thursday 28th July.

BSP Country Manager David Street made the announcement saying 'BSP is proud to announce our 1st Brand Ambassador in the Cook Islands, Andre Tutaka-George. Through the ambassador program we intend to not only assist him financially, but also to provide a flexible working arrangement to fit in with busy training and representative program. We will also provide guidance and mentoring to boost his public profile, build his confidence when speaking in public and addressing the media and will ensure he is a 'well rounded' athlete who will represent himself, family, the BSP community and the Cook Islands with pride.'

'Andre is very well recognized in the Cook Islands, he is a dedicated family man, committed to his faith as well as his sport, community and Olympic dream. He is an asset to our business as a high performing employee. We will be supporting, and following his every step along the journey to Tokyo 2020.'

Andre is confident with his chances in Tahiti. Out of 800+ competitors he is aiming for a top 200 finish, which will earn him a spot to travel back to Tahiti for the next regatta, the Super Aito in October 2016. Andre is excited to be a BSP brand ambassador, he thanked BSP saying 'Its great to have BSP my employer on board sponsoring me as their brand ambassador, not only is the financial assistance much appreciated, the support with my career through flexible work arrangements and mentoring will ensure I can be the best athlete possible both in and out of the water. My ultimate aim is to represent Cook Islands in the Olympics in Tokyo in 2020. I'm currently training hard and remain committed to my goal'

We wish all the to Andre as he prepares to leave for the Ultimate Te Aito in Tahiti.
